Foundation “Kinderen van Uganda”

Foundation “Kinderen van Uganda”

Foundation Children of Uganda is an organization of volunteers in Netherlands. Many volunteers are assisting. The Foundation provides information about Uganda, supports the activities of the Ugandan partners in The Netherlands and carries out actions for fund-raising. The Foundation is active in Uganda since 1995 and from 1998 registered as an ANBI foundation.

The Foundation is a ngo, founded in Bathmen/Deventer/NL. Since 1995, the Foundation is committed to improve the poorly situation of children in Uganda and to offer them better opportunities for development. In The Netherlands information is given about Uganda and actions are taken on fundraising along with many partners, donors and friends. The Foundation works in Jinja in Uganda (primary school), Mukono (secondary vocational school), Kampala (street children project) and since 2008 in Kibinge. Always involves initiatives in which the Ugandan partners have the lead. They develop proposals. In this way the Foundation works community-based. The Ugandan partners know for the best how changes can be made to fit the correct scale and capabilities in their situation. The power of Ugandans is paramount and the Foundation will be their partner. The Foundation is under the impression of what has been achieved since 2008 by the communities in Kibinge.
